This is the website/blog of Tina Roth Eisenberg. I love the minimalistic design, as it keeps things simple and focused.

Cross-country Techniques

// February 7th, 2010 // No Comments » // Articles, Biking

Since I’m relatively new to biking, I try and get as much info (as time allows) as I possible can. BikeRadar.com is a great source of information and I visit it often.

Here’s the link on some essential cross-country techniques.

I hate cPanel.

oh cPanel...

oh cPanel...

I’ve had 2-3 sites that always eventually denies me access to editing the files. But then again maybe it’s because poor hosting administration. Or I’m just an idiot… or maybe it’s cPanel.

Which makes me love my current web host because I don’t get any problems from them about that, and if I do, they usually answer back very quickly.

By the way, they don’t run using cPanel!

WPF Tutorial

// March 27th, 2009 // No Comments » // Tutorials

One of the things that were demoed to us during the 2-day “training” course was developing a WPF application for use with Silverlight. I was once again given the opportunity to use my chainsaw to sculpt porcelain. Looked around for tutorials again to supplement what was being taught and I stumble on this nifty site.

A good reference site.

.NET Training

// March 26th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // Personal

As I’ve said before, I’m not a programmer, but I have been required to participate in a 2-day .NET training course.

It’s like giving a sculptor to create realistic statues with a chainsaw.

Just added a custom logo. Nothing special but it gives me a little amusement. Just a little. I think I’m easily pleased by it.

New Terrorist Cell Recruitment Tactics

What would you do if you only had one month to live?

What would you do if you only had one month to live?

I saw this poster on our office bulletin board. I felt that this could be deliberately misinterpreted as a terrorist recruitment poster.

Development Environment for Skinning DotNetNuke

// February 26th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // Tutorials

Was recently assigned to a project where my colleages where developing an application using DotNetNuke. I was tasked (being the resident designer), to create skins using CSS.

Having majored in Fine Arts/Visual Communication, programming and scripting aren’t really my specialties, but recently I’ve been doing a lot more projects involving Actionscript, PHP/MySQL, ASP, and Flex so I felt the need of retooling myself to at least understand what my team mates are talking about. A recent addition was DotNetNuke, a CMS running on ASP.NET.

So feeling up to the challenge, I went about researching, with Google as my friend and companion. I’m going to be posting links on what I find here, just in case someone stumbles in.

Here’s a good place to start if you want to start building DNN skins of your own.
